In loving memory of William Thomas Barnes (Billy)

October 8,1989- January 11,2026

With broken hearts, we share the sudden passing of Billy who was a son, a twin, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, boyfriend and friend of many, who has left us far too soon at the age 36. Billy was born 1 minute older than his twin sister Holly Cooper on October 8,1989 at Henry Medical Center, Stockbridge, GA 30281. Billy has been born and raised in Henry County pretty much his whole life.

Billy meant the world to his parents, siblings, grandparents and so many other family and friends in this world. He left so many loved ones behind including both parents, Tina Carpenter and Grady Barnes; his siblings, oldest to youngest, Courtney Campbell, Holly Cooper, Angel Brown and Robert Barnes; 2 grandparents, Marie Atwood and Tommy Carreker. He also had several nieces and nephews as well as a girlfriend who was the love of his life, Lauren Law. Along with so many aunts, uncles, and cousins!

Billy would do for anyone in need he was so very smart and intelligent when it came to some many things. Billy always had a way with his words and always had witty comments when it came to getting his way in life. He meant the world to his parents and siblings who loved him deeply even if he tested our patience to get his way. Billy was a pain in the most lovable way, and we wouldn't have wanted him any other way because that was who Billy was. He had a smirky smile with dimples and was loud when he wanted to be heard. He was the biggest animal lover and had the biggest heart when it came to family and friends. He loved all his nieces and nephews and spoiled them at times with junk food or just simply spending time with them as they grew up. He definitely had a quiet side at times, but his presence was known no matter where he was. He hated sitting still for long periods of time was always a busy body and never sat still in one spot long. For years Billy bounced between his parents, siblings, and grandparent's houses and was content with just that! He will definitely be missed because he was loved by so many!

We will be holding a Memorial Service at the Ole Country Church on Friday, January 23rd at 11:00 a.m. all is welcome. Pastor Doug Drucker will be officiating the service. Billy loved polo and Nike so dress casually in honor of him. The address is 2649 GA-155 N. McDonough, GA 30252.
