William R. Barron, Sr., 63, of Burlington died on March 23, 2026 at Elderwood Nursing Home.

He was born on November 11, 1962 in Burlington, VT to Richard and Geraldine (Hamlin) Barron. He grew up in Burlington and Brattleboro. He graduated from Austine School for the Deaf.

Bill loved to go camping, fishing, deer and bear hunting, and enjoyed playing poker and watching football on TV.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. His answer to everything was always "no problem." He brought love and laughter wherever he went.

Bill is survived by his children Philip, Josh, Patrick, and Rowen; two stepsons Shawn and Paul, and by several grandchildren. He also leaves his siblings, Dakota Panton, Cathleen Cota, Patricia (Paul) Godfrey, Paula (Philip) Fortin, Richard Barron, Michael (Teci) Barron, David Barron, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Gerry Barron; his son William Barron, Jr.; his brother-in-law Daniel Cota, and his nephew Chris Cota.

Visiting hours will be held at LaVigne Funeral & Cremation Service, 132 Main St., Winooski, on Monday, April 6, from 2pm to 4pm with a prayer service at 3:30pm.
