It is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William F. Belleau, 88, of North Babylon, NY, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born on June 18, 1936, son of the late Louis and Hilda Belleau; also raised by Louis Williams.
William's dedication to his work as a Lead Agent for EL-AL Airlines resonated throughout his professional endeavors, earning him respect and admiration in the airline industry. His commitment to excellence and unwavering work ethic served as an inspiration to all who knew him.
William cherished his family above all. He was predeceased by his loving wife Evelyn in 2019, as well as his brother, Louis Belleau (and wife Roberta). He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever be remembered by those who survive him.
His memory will be forever treasured by surviving family: Anita Gino (daughter) and her late husband Jim, William Belleau (son) and his wife Michele, Lenore Rauscher (daughter) and her husband Philip, Yvonne Jannace (daughter) and her husband Joe, along with four grandchildren: Philip, Melissa (husband Andrew), Ashley and Joseph; and three great-grandchildren: Philip, Jaxson and Daniel.
William was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed teaching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to fish off the docks of the Long Island sound. He was a devoted fan of the New York Rangers, New York Yankees, and New York Giants.
William will be commemorated in services held at Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY on Thursday, August 1, 2024. Visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A Mass in honor of his memory will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in West Islip on Friday, August 2, 2024, starting at 11:30 AM. A burial will follow immediately after at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
William's absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace as we carry forward his memories.
