William Glenn Bennett, 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 in Jay, OK. He was born on June 9, 1950 in Burlington, KS to his parents, Glenn Leroy Bennett and Mary Viola O'Connor-Bennett. He married the love of his life, Sandra on July 19, 1971.

William loved spending time with family and friends. He was a Veteran of the Marine Corps served during the Vietnam War. Always a hardworking man, spent 32 years working at Tyson Foods. He enjoyed fishing, reading books, watching westerns, collecting eagles, never met a stranger who could talk to anyone. Enjoyed reminiscing about his childhood. William will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

William is proceeded in death by his wife Sandra Bennett; his parents Glenn and Mary Bennett; Sisters Julia Thorn and Mary West; great grandson Braden Cannon.

William is survived by his daughter Christina Doan and husband Jim of Jay, OK; Son Stan Bennett and wife Susan of Jay, OK; Sister Ruth Thompson of Fountain, CO; half-sister Lisa Turner of Prairie Grove, AR; 8 Grandchildren Chris Middleton, Heather Mercer, Lavauna Beck and husband Joseph, Holly Dainty and husband Doug, Crystal Luper and husband James, RJ Hunsaker, Ren Bennett, and Austin Bennett; 15 Great-Grandchildren Damon, Camden, Myah, Jace, Chayton, Malahky, Keegan, Leigha, Josiah, Jebediah, Ryder, Brystal, Creed, Cruze, and Braxton; numerous other family members and friends.

William's Celebration of Life Family Visitation to greet friends will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 6:00-8:00pm at Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346.

William's Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 2:00pm at Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 with Chaplain Todd Brewer officiating. William's service will conclude at the chapel.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
