William Glenn McDaniel, 72, of Bethany, died at 2:43 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Bill was born June 10, 1953, in Decatur, the son of Forrest Glenn and Lenorah June Evans McDaniel. He was united in marriage to Roberta McMillan in Bethany on January 30th,1972; she preceded him in death March 4, 2024, not only on the same day of the month, but at almost the same time of day.
Bill is survived by his two sons, Forrest and wife Meridith of Lovington; B.J. and wife Debbie of Effingham; sister, Arletta Robbins of Bethany; grandchildren; Paige (Alex) Soboleff, Alec (Jaelynn) McDaniel, Dalton McDaniel, Kaylee (Seth) Webner, Kyle McDaniel, Madison McDaniel(Dakota),Makala McDaniel, Brileigh (Seth) Mayes, Matthew Noble(Morgan) , Dawson Noble (Kasy) , Mikinsi Noble; 16 great grandchildren; special nephew, Daniel Kidwell; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Sammie.
Bill had been a volunteer on the Arthur Fire Department where he served for years on the Ambulance and Rescue Squad. Bill worked at Master Brand in Arthur as a Fork lift operator and attended the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Bethany.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Shrader Funeral Home in Arthur with Pastor Ron Emel officiating. Burial will follow at the Marrow Bone Cemetery in Bethany. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to: Arthur Fire and Rescue Squad or the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Bethany.
