William (Bill) E. Oette passed away peacefully at age 88 on August 10, 2025. He is predeceased by his parents, Carl and Cristina Oette and his brother, Edward. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda (nee Hamberger), and daughter Erica (Michael) Hackett, sisters-in-law, Judith Hamberger, Kathleen Oette, and nieces, Sharon (Brent) Raitz and Reneé (Andrew) Schoch.
Bill graduated from Franklin High School in 1954 and went on to study engineering at General Motors Institute. He received an MBA degree from the University of Michigan in 1964 and a teaching degree from the University of Brockport in 1995.
Bill enjoyed travel, time spent with colleagues and family.
Bill's interment is on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 9:00am, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612.
