William "Bill" Lawrence Powell

William “Bill” Powell, 75, of 4071 NC 14, Reidsville, NC went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Lively Stones Baptist Church in Pelham, NC with Pastor Mike Kent and Son-in-law, Pastor Brent Bolick officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home, 1909 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, NC and other times at his home.

Bill was born in Reidsville and was the son of the late Lawrence and Marie Powell. He retired from Bell South with over 30 years of service and was currently a driver for Holiday Tours. He also drove the Bible bus and taught elementary school students for the Rockingham Council of Bible Education ministry. Bill was a longtime and faithful member of Lively Stones Baptist Church. He was an accomplished and passionate drummer, playing with many bands and most recently he played with Revelation and U-Turn. Bill’s mission was to discover the World’s finest “Hot Dog” ever made. His magnetic personality created many lasting friendships. Bill will be deeply missed.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lisa Parrish Powell; daughter Tracey Bolick and husband Brent; grandchildren Caleb Bolick and wife, Grace, Madeline Bolick and fiancé, Calvin Norsworthy, Claire Bolick, and Hannah Bolick; sisters Carolyn Lasley, Shirley Blalock and husband Linwood, Kaye Willard and husband Kirby; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Rockingham Council of Bible Education, PO Box 91, Reidsville NC 27323, Attention Todd Moore.
