William D. Tedeschi, 80, of Sheboygan and formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan. He is together again with his beloved wife, Pat, who passed away 3 weeks prior.

Bill was born June 11, 1945 in Baraboo, the son of William V and Helen (Day) Tedeschi. Shortly after birth, they moved to Hopkinton, MA. He graduated from Newman High School in Wausau in 1963, and went on to earn his BBA in 1967 from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Bill spent his entire working career in the insurance business, starting at Wausau Insurance in sales and sales management. After 12 years, Bill joined the Gottsacker Insurance Agency in Sheboygan. In 2001 he formed his own agency in Sheboygan, Tedeschi Insurance Services. In his retirement, he joined Healthmart Pharmacy as a Prescription Delivery Driver. He also volunteered for the Aging and Disability Resource Center.

On June 3, 1967 he was united in marriage with Patricia J. Damp in Schofield. The two shared 58 beautiful years together before her passing in August of this year.

A lifelong member of Optimist International, he previously served on the board of Manitowoc Chamber of Commerce, the board of the Manitowoc Maritime Museum (2 terms), and the board of Sheboygan Shelter Care (2 terms as President).

Bill and Pat enjoyed many years of backroad traveling and trips, as well as playing bridge and 37 years of competitive nighttime backgammon games. Many of their social gatherings involved food, including visiting local restaurants, partaking in a cooking group with friends, making breakfast for those he loved, and making “Bill’s Famous Potatoes” for a friend’s food stand at Road America. He loved time spent with those he cared about, and will be remembered for his generosity to his family, friends and community.

Bill is survived by his daughters Theresa (Jeffrey) Phelps of Saukville and Jennifer (Chris Lemke) Strouf-Lemke of Sheboygan, grandchildren Erin (Aaron) Schleicher and Christopher Strouf, step-grandchildren Lillian and Evelyn Lemke; nephews Todd (Monica) Tedeschi and Alan (Mary) Tedeschi; nieces Marcy Duhaine and Katie (Mark Cousins) Damp; great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Pat, his parents, parents-in-law Vernon “Kelly” and Jeanne Damp, brother Robert (Sallie) Tedeschi and brother-in-law Mike (Kathrine) Damp.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Wenig Funeral Home, 711 Broadway in Sheboygan Falls. All are welcome to view a livestream of Bill’s service on his obituary page. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00AM-1:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Tunnels to Towers.

The family would like to thank Aurora Hospice for their compassionate and loving care.
