William Edward “Billy” Baker, 72, husband of Martha Ann Huddleston Baker, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, at his home in Nicholasville, Kentucky. He was born in Nicholasville, Kentucky, on June 17, 1953, to the late Huey Baker and Ethel Pucket Baker. Billy worked as a cabinet maker and in construction throughout his life. Survivors include his children, Lisa Baker, Dorothy Renea McCollum, Hayden D. Baker, Ronnie Baker, and Donnie Baker, two brothers, Paul Ray Baker and his wife, Beth, and Henry T. Baker and his wife, Josephine, twelve grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Mae Smith, Erma Lee Baker, and three brothers, Fred Baker, Huey Baker, Jr., and Frankie Baker. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Rodney Murphy officiating. The burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery with Ronnie Baker, Donnie Baker, Jacob Baker, Michael Baker and John Paul Baker, and Darren Halcomb serving as bearers. Honorary bearers will be Raleigh Johnson, Danny Mastin, and Marty Baker. The visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the funeral home.
