William David Blackwell

William David Blackwell (Will), was born October 30, 1987 and passed away on January 8, 2023.
Will loved his family most of all. His other passions included basketball, refereeing, coaching, golf, reading, and pen and ink drawing.
Will went to Harrison Highschool and played varsity basketball for all four years. Will was the ultimate team player, and was awarded athlete of the year in 2006. He received a full basketball scholarship to Berry College and graduated "Summa Cum Laude" with a finance degree.
His career choices always involved helping and mentoring others. These qualities lead him to positions as a math tutor, and teacher. He was also a YMCA youth sports director and a basketball referee official in Cobb County,Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida.
Will was a shinning star and a complete joy to be around. He was a wonderful brother to Thomas and John. His kindness and nurturing nature led him to be an adult advocate for equality and the value of all individuals.
Will was loved beyond measure and will be forever missed by his parents; Mark and Mary Anne Blackwell, brothers; John and Thomas Blackwell, Grandmother; Nancy L. Haley, Cousins; Dustin and Tyler Blackwell, Emily Becker, Lisa McDaniel, Matt Zampello, Michael and Adam Haley, Melinda Milos and Jeremy Hersman, Aunts and Uncles; David and Brenda Blackwell, Steve and Deb Blackwell, Frank and Ellen Zampello, Mike and Nancy Haley, Steve and Laura Gojeski, and Ryan Feller.
Services will be held for Will at 11:00 am on Friday, 1/13/2023 in the Chapel Of A.S. Turner and Sons. There will be a visitation an hour prior to the service.
