William Henry "Bill" Bowersock, 87, of Reno, OH passed away at 4:58 pm, Sunday, December 14, 2025 at the home of his son in Reno, Ohio. He was born on June 11, 1938, in Lawrence Township, a son of Charles Bowersock and Jennie Smith Bowersock.

Bill was a dairy farmer and a 1956 graduate of Lawrence High School. He was a member of the U. S. Army Reserves and a member of Lawrence Baptist Church. For many years he was a member of Gideons, Farm Bureau, Washington County Electric Co-Op, Newport Township Trustee and a member of Fleda at Frontier. He never met a stranger.

On May 3, 1959, he married Twila Depuy who preceded him in death on April 6, 2020. He is survived by 2 sons and a daughter: Pam (Robert) Handschumaker of Marietta, Brian (Melissa) Bowersock and Brent (Ginger) Bowersock both of Reno; 4 grandchildren: Rebecca, Nicholas, Nathan (fiancé Whitney Doan) and Noah Bowersock and his sister Patsy Sprout.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, an infant sister, and brother Bobbi Bowersock and nephew Dale Bob Bowersock.

The family would like to extent their "thanks" to Amedisys and Dr. Lloyd Dennis for the excellent care they gave Bill.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday (Dec. 18) at McClure Schafer Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Valley Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.

Memorial contributions can be made in Bill's Honor to the Reno VFD, Lawrence VFD Newport VFD or Lawrence Baptist Church.
