William Earl "Billy" Boyd

William Earl "Billy" Boyd passed away January 30, 2025 at the age of 82. He was born December 14, 1942 in Rusk, TX. He moved to Corsicana, TX at the age or 8 years old where he remained for his lifetime.
Billy was a well-known character in the community. Although he was stubborn and feisty, he was always the life of the party and those who knew him loved him. He was always willing to teach the youth life lessons or help others in need. Through the years, he dabbled in a little bit of everything from racehorses to race cars. Many of his years were spent custom hay baling for people in the community and working on his farm. He was a man of kindness and generosity and left a lasting impact on everyone he knew. Some may even say the ending of an era.
He is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Lucile Boyd, daughter Christy Lee Boyd, and daughter Cheryl Leigh Wallace.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Merlene Wallace, daughter Elizabeth Miller and husband Andy, granddaughter Katie McGraw and husband Landon, grandson Drew Miller and wife Hannah and granddaughter Lexi Miller. He is also survived by his beloved great-grandchildren Jaxon and Wrynlee McGraw, Lilian and Isla Miller.
Billy's departure will leave a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will last a lifetime.
