William John "Willie" Brandon

William "Willie" John Brandon of Macomb passed away May 17, 2025 at the age of 81.
Willie was born on August 5, 1943 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island to Robert and Evelyn (Goodings) Brandon. Willie joined the Air Force which brought him to Michigan and he stayed to continue building his life. On January 27, 1989 Willie married Terri Gunthner in Macomb, Michigan. Willie owned and operated Uptown Electric for 36 years before retiring in 2023. Willie enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, all of the Detroit sports teams and NASCAR. Willie enjoyed spending time at his home on Harsens Island watching the freighters on the south channel. Willie road snowmobiles with Wertz Warriors for over 10 years; an organization that gives back to the Special Olympics of Michigan. He was known to many as "Sweet Willie" and will be greatly missed.
Beloved husband of Terri; loving father of William (Michelle) Brandon Jr., Kevin (Tonya) Brandon, Ryan McTaggart and Bradlee McTaggart; adored grandfather of Kylie, Brooke, Alexander, Taylor and Kade; and cherished brother of Robert Brandon and Elaine (Joseph) Andrade. Willie is also survived by his beloved dog Wilson and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A visitation for Willie will be Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 at 10:00am with a 9:00 am instate time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations would be appreciated to Wertz Warriors.
