With deep love and gratitude for a life well-lived, we celebrate the legacy of William "Bill" James Bridger, born on August 28, 1953, in Waco, Texas, to Bill and Dorothy Ben Bridger. Bill was the proud brother of Benny and Barry, and from an early age, he embodied the values of faith, family, and community.

A devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bill faithfully served a two-year mission in Taiwan, serving in the Taiwan Taichung Mission, where his love for service and humanity flourished. Upon his return, he met the love of his life, Carol Sue, and the two were sealed in marriage in 1981. Their union was a testament to enduring partnership and produced a beautiful family-children Chris, Stephen, Ryan, and Sarah, and later, nine cherished grandchildren who brought endless joy to his heart.

Bill devoted his professional life to the telephone industry, where his diligence, reliability, and work ethic made him a respected figure among colleagues. But Bill's greatest work was in the lives he touched outside the job-he wore many hats in service of others: Cub Scout Pack Leader, Scout Master, t-ball and baseball coach, and LDS bishop. Even after retiring, he continued to uplift those around him as a school bus driver, where his familiar warmth brightened countless mornings for young riders.

A proud Texan through and through, Bill had a deep love for his family, his dogs, BBQ, his lawn, and the land he called home. Whether mentoring youth, sharing stories, or simply lending a helping hand, Bill's kindness and strength left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those whose lives he so generously enriched. His legacy lives on through his family, his service, and the example he set as a man of integrity, heart, and unwavering faith.
