It is with great sadness that the family of William "Wild Bill" Brooks, 65, announces that he passed away on May 30, 2025. Bill was born in Rumford on November 27, 1959 a son of the late Howard and Gloria (Byron) Brooks. He had lived in Connecticut and Florida for many years until he finally made his way back to Maine to be closer with his family and friends.
Bill loved to work hard. He enjoyed being outside. His favorite things to do were; splitting wood, fishing, snowmobiling and riding his decked out "Jesse James" Harley. He also cherished all the time he could spend with his family. Bill was a great guy and most everyone he met became his friend. He was generous to a fault. He would help anyone who needed it and he will be greatly missed by many.
Bill is survived by his brother, Randy and his wife Kathy, two sisters, Wanda and Crystal and his two cats, Kitty and Baby. He was predeceased by his brother, Henry.
There are no services at this time, but a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Albert & Burpee Funeral Home & Cremation Services 253 Pine St. Lewiston, 782-7201. Condolences and memories may be shared here on Bill's tribute page.
