WOODLAND, NC - William Everett Bryant, affectionately known as "Bubba" to his family and friends, passed away suddenly at his home on October 26, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on December 24, 1966, in Hertford County, North Carolina, Bubba spent his life contributing tirelessly to his family farm and nurturing the relationships that meant so much to him.
Bubba's steadfast commitment to agriculture was evident in his chosen profession as a farmer, working diligently on the family farm as long as his health permitted. He took particular pride in raising hogs and different crops over the years.
A man of varied interests, Bubba had a profound love for fishing and cherished his time near the water, especially at the beach. He had an easy-going nature and gentle demeanor. William also enjoyed weightlifting and football, passions he first discovered during his time at Northeast Academy, where he graduated after being an enthusiastic player on the school football team. He furthered his education by earning an associate degree from North Carolina State University before returning home to where his heart felt most connected.
Faith played a central role in Bubba's life as evidenced by his lifetime membership at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. His church family held a special place in his heart, and Bubba's dedication to his faith was unwavering throughout his life. William Everett Bryant will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and deep love for his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his father, Everett William "Buddy" Bryant; his brother, Milton Ray Bryant; aunts Amorette Bryant Bolton and Lillie Ginn; uncle, Mack Clark; and cousins R.C. Jr., Ray, Wayne, Brian, and Gary, William leaves behind a legacy of kindness and loyalty. He is survived by his beloved mother, Dorice Clark Bryant of Woodland; brother, Dan Bryant also of Woodland; aunts Margaret McLamb of Dunn, Jane Tyler (Don) of Momeyer, Judy Farrow (Richard) of Conway, Nancy Lee of Deland, Fl., and Annie Bowen of Woodland; uncles C.J.
