WILLIAM "BUTCH" REED CRABTREE, age 72 of Niota, Tenn. passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at his residence.
He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn, a son of the James William "Joe" and Iris Lavonne Wallace Crabtree and preceded in death by Son: James Richard Crabtree.
He was a former employee for Athens Furniture and Creech Fire Co.
Survivors: Wife of 43 years: Diana Lynn Gore Crabtree of Niota, Tenn. Daughter; Shaylon Doughty of Nashville, Tenn. Two Sons: Chris (Laura) Crabtree of Decatur, Tenn., Greg (Rebecca) Crabtree of Spring City, Tenn., Two Brother: Ricky (Mona) Crabtree of Niota, Tenn. David Ross (Wendy) Crabtree of Martin, Ga. Two Sisters: Debbie McDaniel of Ft. Payne, Ala. Dianne Vonette Crabtree of Athens, Tenn. 9 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal visitation or service. Those wishing to make contributions to help the family may do so by calling the funeral home or donating through their website.
