William Eduardo Calix

William Eduardo Calix passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025 at the age of 68 years. Beloved husband of the late Charlotte Diane Calix. Loving father of Robert A. Stodghill (Pamela Sims) and Rachel Calix (Robert Generes Jr.). Grandfather of Maxx Maria Garcia, Amber Stodghill, Nadia Generes, Mary Elizabeth Generes, and Robert Generes III. Brother of Gretel Vinet, Bernadita Block, Yvonne Calix, Meguel Madina and Nando Calix. Uncle of Martin Ward, Mario Ward, and Little Gus Vinet, and Gabriel Vinet Nicholson. Also survived by his dear companion, Terre Baughman along with other brothers, sisters, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Burke and Ernesto Calix.

William was a native of La Ceiba, Honduras and was a resident of Marrero for most of his life. He Served his country in the U.S. Navy and later worked for many years with Chevron. He enjoyed fishing and working in the yard. As a devout Catholic, he attended Mass at St. Joseph Church in Gretna. He loved working with his hands and stayed busy. He will be sadly missed.

Visitation will take place at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 10 AM to 1:30 PM. A Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.
