William Frank Camp, known to friends and loved ones as Frank, passed away peacefully in Canton, GA, on April 9, 2024. Born on October 14, 1945, in Holly Springs, GA, Frank led a life marked by service, dedication, and warmth.
Frank honorably served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and continued his legacy of service through a 33-year career with General Motors. His commitment to faith was evident through his early baptism at Grace Baptist Church and his membership at Chalcedonia Baptist Church. He further extended his camaraderie to fellow veterans as a member of the VFW and the American Legion Thomas M. Brady Post 45.
A true outdoorsman, Frank cherished the simplicity of hunting, fishing, and splitting firewood. His loving nature made him a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to all he encountered. Frank will be remembered as the epitome of friendliness, always ready with a warm smile and open heart.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter "daddy's girl", Heather Renea Camp; grandson, T.J. Nash; parents, Roy Robert and Nell Trippe Camp; and brothers, Robert Neal Camp, Roy Van Camp and Walter Mark Camp. Frank is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Camp; sons, Cason William "Casey" Camp and Shane Nash (Kathy); daughter, Cherese Nash-Montoya (Homer); grandchildren, Haleigh Dover (Noah), Kamryn Yancey, Logan Nash, Avery Nash, Loren Montoya, Alex Montoya, Brandy Nash and Kristi Nash; sisters, Nancy Nell Otto (Henry) and Dorothy Janice Warren (Luby Ray); brothers, George Samuel Camp (Patricia) and Joseph Rex Camp; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
