William Caringer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greenlawn Funeral Home Branson on Nov. 1, 2023.
William R. "Bob" Caringer, 82, of Branson, Missouri, born May 31, 1941, in Fredericktown, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Cox Medical Center in Branson, MO.
Bob graduated from Greenville High School in Illinois in 1959 and attended BYU thereafter. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, his career in information systems took him and his family from St. Louis to Anchorage to Seattle to Phoenix.
Bob has always been known for his easy going way of life, constant smile, positivity and passion for adventure. He was a loving father who did it all. From snowmobiling with his son Kevin in Alaska, to coaching his daughters' softball teams in Phoenix, and proudly seeing all of them through their high school and college graduations.
Later Bob returned to his roots in Piedmont, MO, where he met his wife Sue. Bob and Sue were a perfect match, enjoying their retirement and time spent with family. They relocated to Branson, where they have hosted countless guests in their home. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Branson, MO.
Bob often enjoyed sharing Alaska memories of flying his plane and fishing on his boat in Prince William Sound. Bob enjoyed puzzles, watching all kinds of sports, and he was a devout Cardinals baseball fan.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Mills Caringer, of Branson, MO, his children: Kevin (Sheri) Caringer of Kissimmee, FL, Kimberly (JT) Chevalier of Gardnerville, NV, Kristin Caringer of Los Angeles, CA, Katy Jo Caringer of Gardnerville, NV, Michelle (Matt) Bredemeier of Grand Forks, ND, his grandchildren: Aly Caringer of Chicago, IL, Ashton Caringer of Conway, AR, Lily Bredemeier of Grand Forks, ND, his great grandchildren: Ruby Caringer and Everett Caringer and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Bethel (Belew) Caringer, his sister, Hallie Colgin, his brothers, Kenneth (KC), Gladstone (Red), Alvie, Lynnwood, and Glendon Caringer and his first wife, Ann Hayes Caringer.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Rd. Springfield, MO 65804.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Tunnel of Towers or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
