Ronald Caringer Obituary

Ronald Lee "RC" Caringer

Princeton - Ronald Lee "RC" Caringer, 66, of Princeton, passed away while surrounded by his loving family and friends on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. He was born on January 28, 1954 in Evansville to Kenneth Charles, Sr. and Daisy Elwanda (Heath) Caringer. He had lived in Princeton since 1992, moving from Chandler. In 2014, RC retired after 32 years from Whayne Supply Company, where he had been the parts man in the warehouse. After retirement he was blessed with a great amount of time to spend with his grandchildren, Kimber and Aiden. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years and later playing Texas Holdem on his computer while listening to the national news or classic rock music.

A loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle, he is survived by his wife, Priscilla (Bates) Caringer, to whom he was married July 19, 1975 at the Church of God in Princeton; sons, Casey Caringer of Princeton and Clint Caringer of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Kimber Caringer, Braeden, Finley, and Ryland Caringer and Aiden Cavins; sisters-in-law, Reita Caringer of Herrin, Illinois, Patricia O'Rourke (Tim), Barbara Krieg (Dale) and Pam Bates; brothers-in-law, Joe Bates (Donna), Jerry Bates (Billie), Jeff Bates (Donna), Tim Bates (Lana) and Tom Bates (Karen); and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Kenneth Charles Caringer, Jr., Karen Somers and Phyllis Robinson.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Jim Saunders officiating. Visitation will be from 2 until 5 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Deaconess HeartSaver Program providing AED's for first responders in the tristate. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
