William Certain Obituary
Clover, SC – William "Bill" Ross Certain, Jr., 59, loving husband of over 30 years to Jennifer Becton Certain, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
Born on July 6, 1965, in Seneca, South Carolina, Bill was the son of William Ross Certain of York, SC and the late Linda Kay Leard. Before becoming an insurance adjuster, Bill taught at Westminster Middle School for 9 years, while there he coached boys' and girls' basketball, he was the head coach for West-Oak baseball and an assistant coach for football. He was an avid supporter of Clemson sports and the Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and camping with his dog, Jake.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Becton Certain; daughter, Kathryn Certain; father, William Ross Certain; sisters, Wanda Hubbard, Tammy Cash (Charles), Denise Crocker (Brian); mother-in-law, Elizabeth Campbell; father-in-law, Frank Becton (Wanda); sister-in-law, Monica Dellinger (Kevin); nieces and nephews, Eric Hubbard (Suhina), Samantha Hubbard, Scott Crocker, Matthew Blackwell (Epaline), Jon Gavin Dellinger, Ryleigh Dellinger; great-niece, Emma Hughes; and granddog, Rooney.
Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Kay Leard.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Westminster First Baptist Church. The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, April 4, 2025, at Sandifer Funeral Home.
