William Check Obituary
A talented tradesman, William had an impressive career. After graduating from Westlake High School, he pursued vocational training and became a union master in tool and die. He then transitioned to become an Ironworker and later excelled as a Welder, Fabricator, and Millwright at Cleveland Cliffs Steel Mill.
Outside of work, William had a kind personality and a caring heart. He was an Eagle Scout and took great pride in his accomplishments. He had a passion for metal music, tattoos, and animals. In his free time, he enjoyed helping others, tinkering around his yard and garage, riding his motorcycle, and embarking on adventures with his dog.
A gathering to honor William's life will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The family requests casual attire.

This is heartbreaking. I ran into Bill earlier this year at the store and we caught up for a good half hour and texted a bit. I'm so sorry for your loss and to hear of his passing.

I saved his life once, we were dragging deck on a Walmart in Bedford that is now out of business, he misstepped and went in the hole but was hanging on....I gently walked over and pulled him up and set him on the deck. Took 5 and went back to work. He was a very good young man. .... -dale
