William “Bill” Jackson Cochran, 71, entered into rest on Monday, December 8, 2025.

Bill was born on May 6, 1954, in Thomaston, Georgia, to the late Jackson and Meta Cochran.

A man of many passions and a heart for adventure, Bill found joy in the outdoors and in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a Harley-Davidson enthusiast, and a talented woodworker. Bill was an accomplished skeet shooter, earning the title of state champion. His pride in his service as a United States Marine was evident throughout his life, reflected in his strength, discipline, and devotion to others. Bill and his wife, Donna, opened their family-owned automotive collision center in July of 1996. They named the business Cochran Coachworks Inc. in honor of Bill’s love for old-fashioned horse-drawn carriages. Bill was a respected and valued member of Perry’s business community, and together they successfully ran the family business until 2023, when they both decided to retire and enjoy a well-earned chapter of life.

Above all, Bill cherished his family. His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Donna Cochran; his children, son William “Jack” Cochran wife Alicia, daughter Melissa “Missy” Strever husband Eric and daughter Jennifer Huber husband Kenneth; and his grandchildren, Zachary Huber wife Chloe, Madison Cochran, Zoey Strever, Kinsley Strever, Addison Huber and Noah Huber and great-grandson, Dominic Huber. Along with a host of extended family members and friends whose lives were brighter because of him.

Bill’s legacy of love, resilience, and craftsmanship will live on in all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will be forever held in the hearts of those who loved him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Bill will be laid to rest at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
