William Reynolds Cohn, 25, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
Will was born in Biloxi, MS but spent most of his life in Savannah, GA. His parents named him for his maternal great-grandfather William and a beloved member of his father’s family, Reynolds, a former Texas Ranger. As a baby, his grandmother nicknamed him “Hip-hugger,” as he loved to ride around on his mom’s hip to see the world. Even as a child, Will was an entrepreneur and foodie. At the age of four he opened a restaurant in his bedroom called “The Thirsty Trout.” There he served beverages taken from his parents’ refrigerator and charged his “customers” handsomely.
Will graduated from St. Andrews School in Savannah, GA where he excelled academically with honors. He had a passion for music and performance and a remarkable gift for languages, learning Spanish, French and Mandarin. He gained early acceptance to University of Georgia, where he majored in International Affairs.
Will also loved to travel. Having visited Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Canada and many Caribbean islands, he was thirsty for more. During his senior year in high school he traveled in Colombia, falling in love with the people there and perfecting his Spanish speaking skills.
Saying Will loved to cook is an understatement. He loved preparing feasts, creating his own recipes and gathering with family. He worked as a private chef at UGA and worked in food concessions at UGA football games. Will was often part of the crew that spent the night guarding the stadium before a home game, only to get up the next morning to work the day in food concessions. He also loved camping, hiking, tennis and anything outdoors. He had a way with animals and his beloved dog Graham was his constant companion and best friend. Will asked that we take this time to gather as family and friends, to promote kind words and bond together. He loved his family, and his heart was big.
Will is survived by his mother, Jeannie Wolf, and step-father Dale Wolf, of Ponte Vedra, FL; his father, Jerry Cohn and step-mother Lauren Cohn of Savannah, GA; his brother, Cameron Cohn and sister-in-law Avery Cohn of Jacksonville, FL; his sister, Katie Cohn of Savannah; his half sisters, Emma Grace Cohn and Olivia Cohn of Savannah; his step-siblings Bryant Wolf and his wife Olivia of Washington, DC, Lindsay Wolf Morgan and her husband Andrew, of Bethesda, MD, and Trevor Wolf of Washington, DC; and his maternal grandmother Hilda Spillman Johnson of Farmington, NC.
A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 400 San Juan Drive, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, on November 11, 2025 at 11 a.m. If so desired, you may make a donation to the Christ Episcopal Church organ fund.
There will be a reception immediately following the service at the home of Jeannie and Dale Wolf.
