William Carlton Connell, Sr., age 91, of Lawrenceville, VA, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Bassett Connell and Marion Elizabeth Edwards Connell; his wife, Ella Mae Buckner Connell; and his son, William C. “Carl” Connell, Jr.
Mr. Connell is survived by his daughters, Amy Connell Clary (David) and Beverly Connell Washburn (Kent); daughter-in-law, Ann Connell; grandchildren, Andrew Connell (Krystle), Lesley Nunn (Patrick), Laura Eddings (Chris), Collin Washburn, Chase Clary, and Alex Clary (Hope); great-grandchildren, Drew Connell, Kelsey Carter, Ava Connell, Lawson Eddings, Emerson Eddings, Harper Nunn, Van Walker Nunn, and Cody Clary; a sister, Loretta Allen; a brother, Clayden Connell (Pat), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at Noon Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at James Square Baptist Church followed by interment in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the James Square Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 643, Lawrenceville, VA 23868.
