Survived by his children, Misty Lego, William Coon, and Joseph (Christina) Coon; many grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Coon; and half-brother, Mike (Mary) Perkins. Also predeceased by his parents; and aunt, Irene (Robert "Bobby") Coon.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., Rockford. Graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Lower York Cemetery, Thomson, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. To share a memory or a condolence, please visit olsonfh.com .
