Mr. William Lewis "Billy" Cranshaw, 75 of Grantville, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 at his home.
Born September 13, 1947 in Atlanta, Mr. Cranshaw was the son of the late William Charles Cranshaw and Patricia King Cranshaw. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, lived most of his life in California, and retired from the Hobart Corporation. Mr. Cranshaw had been a resident of Grantville for the past five years, attended LaGrange Seventh-day Adventist Church, and loved to dance.
Survivors include his son and daughter in-law, Michael and DeNita Cranshaw of Beaumont, CA; sisters and brother in-law; Lynn and David Todd of Grantville and Joan Lee of Jacksonville, FL; brothers and sisters in-law, Tommy and Carol Cranshaw of Baker, LA, Bobby and Judith Cranshaw of Canyon Country, CA, and Jon and Jo Anne Nuckols of Monticello. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gayle Fuss; and brother, Larry Cranshaw.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 30, at LaGrange Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor James Mello officiating. The family will receive friends at the church before and after the memorial service.
Inurnment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
