William Crapser, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky, with his cherished wife, Margaret, by his side. Born on February 2, 1944, in Langsdon, Michigan, William lived a life defined by loyalty, compassion, and dedication, both to his family and his country.

After graduating high school in Langsdon, William proudly served in the United States Army, a testament to his unyielding patriotism and commitment to his nation. Upon returning home, he devoted many years to working as a truck driver before transitioning into a role as a handyman. His work ethic was commendable, characterized by honesty and diligence, which earned him the respect and admiration of friends and family alike.

William's personality shone through in his relationships with those he loved. He was a loyal husband to Margaret, a devoted father to his daughters, and a compassionate grandfather and great-grandfather, always ready to lend a hand or offer guidance. He took great pride in watching his family grow and thrive, a legacy that will endure through his loved ones.

His passion for helping others was evident in his willingness to assist friends and family with various projects, often working tirelessly on his own home to create a welcoming space filled with love. William had a special fondness for his dogs, and in every moment spent with family, he found joy and contentment.

William leaves behind his devoted wife, Margaret Crapser, along with his daughters, Pamela Browning and Tonya (Ray Williams) Williams, and Lisa (Link) Behymer. He also cherished his son-in-law, Roger Browning, and his sister-in-law, Martha Rowley. His grandchildren, Briana (Markell Franklin) Barcus, Makayla Browning, Courtney (Tim) Franklin, Amber Barcus, Marissa Cave, and grandson Chris (Aysia) Browning, as well as 13 great-grandchildren that will carry his memory and love forward for generations to come.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Lyndon Crapser, and his mother, Pauline Irene Crapser. Their memories will forever be intertwined with William's enduring spirit and sense of family.

The family invites all who knew and loved William to gather for a visitation at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY. The first visitation will take place on May 20, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by another session on May 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will also be held on May 21, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM, after which he will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park, Louisville, KY.

William Crapser's legacy will endure in the hearts of his family and friends. His unwavering love, hard work, and dedication to family have left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him. A proud patriot, a loving family man, and a kind-hearted soul, he will be deeply missed.
