William G. Critchfield, 86, of Massillon, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Bill was born on July 7, 1938, in Massillon, Ohio, the son of the late William and Katherine (Willey) Critchfield.
Bill was a lifelong resident of Massillon. He graduated from Washington High School in 1956. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran, Company F, and proudly served our country. He worked for Wolgamott Electric for 35 years before retiring. He was a dedicated caretaker, father, and husband. He was a die-hard Massillon Tiger fan and held season tickets for over 50 years.
He is survived by his children, Billy Critchfield, Matt Critchfield, and Krista Chiaramonte; grandchildren, Gianna and Dominic Chiaramonte; siblings, Marilyn (Jim) Laursen, Dennis (Andra) Critchfield, and Colleen (Tom) Sibila; and nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Critchfield.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 6-8 pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CrossRoads Hospice: www.crhcf.org.
