Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday, July 1, at Higgins Funeral Home.
Glenn was born at home on April 3, 1938, in Lincoln County, TN, to the late Van Buren Currin and Helen Pauline Commons Currin. A 1956 graduate of Central High School in Fayetteville, he served his country in the United States Army. Glenn spent his entire career in the electrical industry, working as a lineman for Fayetteville Electric, TVA, AEDC, and Redstone Arsenal.
A lifelong member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church, Glenn was deeply committed to his faith and community. He was known for his love of the outdoors and was an avid hunter and gun enthusiast. Glenn also enjoyed woodworking, telling stories, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves and the Tennessee Volunteers. He was a proud American, a devoted Lincoln Countian, and a man who never met a stranger. He was dearly loved by all who knew him. Glenn passed away on June 27, 2025, at HH Lincoln Health in Fayetteville.
He is survived by his sons, Donnie (Rhonda) Currin, Rick (Theresa) Currin, and Steve Currin; step-daughter, Kathy Kent; grandchildren, Thomas (Hanna) Currin, Alisha (Chris) Dunnavant, Travis (Kelsey) Currin, Kayla Currin (Tareq Hindiyeh), Stefanie (Joey) Worden, Elizabeth Currin, Ritchie Conner, Justice Conner, Jessica (Jason) Justice, and Maegan (Josey) Knowles; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, church family, friends, and the Possom Hollow Gang.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edith Burch Currin; daughter-in-law, Penny Currin; brothers, Charles Van Currin, Gene Paul Currin, and Donald Robert Currin; and his faithful canine companion, Ginger.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fayetteville First Baptist Church Love Offering, 210 Elk Ave. N., Fayetteville, TN 37334, or to the church of your choice.
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated staff of HH Lincoln Health, Donalson Care Center, and Lincoln Home Health and Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Glenn.
