William "Bill" Curtis, Sr. Obituary
William "Bill" Henry Curtis, Sr., 81, of Washington Court House passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe following a brief illness.
Bill was born October 26, 1942, in Fleischmanns, New York to the late Benjamin and Leona (Washburn) Curtis. After high school, Bill entered the service. He was a proud US Navy Veteran, serving during Vietnam. Following his military career, He worked various jobs and trades including welding, driving truck, firefighter, and police officer. Bill was known for his sense of humor, his story telling, and his famous quotes. He loved watching westerns and playing dominos.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Daisy, Patricia, and Lillian, and by a special friend, Elvin Remmers.
Survivors include his wife, the former Michelle Bell, whom he married February 13, 2000; his children, Lacia Green and William H. Curtis, Jr. (Lexi Robinett); grandchildren, Grace Green and Claria Long; brothers, Allen Curtis, Sr. and Donald Curtis, Sr.; and by his many extended family members and friends, including special friend R.J.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service with military honors is planned for Monday, July 8, 2024, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
