William Robert "Billy" Daniels

William Robert Daniels, a lifelong resident of Virginia, was born on May 15, 1958, and passed away peacefully in Hampton, VA, on November 9, 2025, at the age of 67.

Billy dedicated four decades of his life to his craft as a machinist at Huntington Ingalls, demonstrating unwavering commitment and skill in his work. Through his years of service, he not only contributed significantly to the company but also built enduring friendships and garnered the respect of his colleagues.

Beyond his professional life, Billy was an avid softball player. He cherished the camaraderie and joy that the sport brought him, forming many lasting friendships on and off the field. His passion for the game reflected his love for community and connection.

William was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Matthew and Catherine Daniels, his brother Timothy Daniels, and his sister-in-law Laura Daniels.

He leaves behind a devoted wife, Teresa Layne Wright, as well as his sons, William "Bo" Buchanan and Joshua Evans. He is also survived by his daughters-in-law, Catherine Auerbach, Tonya Evans, Kristie Pickering, Mindy Buchanan, and Linda Green. His siblings, Matthew Daniels, John (Denise) Daniels, Richard (Jean) Daniels, and Sandra (John) Norman, along with a host of nieces and nephews, will fondly remember him.

The legacy of his kindness, strength, and dedication will continue through his cherished grandchildren: Arianna Buchanan, Chloe Blunt, Joshua Pickering, Joseph Woody, Lizabeth Andrews, Jacob Blunt, Michael Spady, Matthew Woody, and Amelia Cross.

William Robert Daniels will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, whose presence brought warmth and joy to those around him.
