Kathy West Daniels, 72, of Clifton Park, New York, passed away on Wednesday November 5, 2025, after a brief illness with her family at her side. She was born on October 2, 1953 in Burlington Vermont to Richard and Doreen (McDevitt) West, both of whom predeceased her. She married Eddie "Skip" Daniels on June 17, 2000, who passed away earlier this year. She is survived by her loving son Moses Seibel. Kathy was the second oldest of six children including her late brother Richard West Jr. and her surviving sisters, Susan (David) Tiffany, Maureen (Martin) Gabriele, and Julie (Mike) Deflumere, and her surviving brother, Kevin (Sarah) West, as well has many nieces and nephews. Kathy moved to Rutland Vermont at a young age where she spent her formative years and graduated high school from Mount St. Joseph Academy. She attended Edgecliff College in Cincinnati. After college, Kathy joined her family in the Capital District, where she became a life-long resident, including the last 25 years in Clifton Park. She worked as a loan officer for Scotia National Bank for many years before joining Capital Prosthetics and Orthotics as office manager, where she spent over two decades helping patients through their medical journey. She retired from there in 2005. Kathy's interests were diverse and included sports, hosting family get-togethers, bird watching and decorating for the holidays. Kathy and Eddie were season ticket holders to Syracuse basketball and made countless snowy trips to Syracuse. Her Sundays would include watching her Giants and Eddie's Raiders. She took great pride in her house decorating, particularly at Thanksgiving, which she hosted, and Christmas, when she would go all out to give Eddie and Moses a beautiful holiday. Perhaps her fondest tradition was the yearly West family cookie bake, which had been featured on the local TV news. She proudly held the title of "Cookie Boss", always pushing for perfection, the highest-quality cookies, and to break the previous year's record for how many dozen cookies she could coax her family to bake. Her standards were as sweet as the treats she made, and she made sure everyone knew the importance of doing things right. Kathy had a special gift for bringing joy to those around her, often through her edgy humor and infectious laughter, and (very) lengthy chats She was a "freakin' ray of sunshine" in the lives of everyone who knew her. She had a quick wit and had a knack for turning everyday moments into laughter-filled memories. Whether through her stories, her jokes, or her playful insistence on cookie excellence, Kathy made life brighter and sweeter for everyone around her. Her favorite phrase "Ya know what I'm sayin'" will be sorely missed by all who knew her. No services are scheduled at this time.
