William "Bill" Martin Davis, Jr., devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, papa, and friend to so many went to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
Bill was a loving partner to Rita for nearly 45 years, and cherished his job as father and grandfather, and great- grandfather. He loved his "tribe" dearly, and adored his time spent with close friends and family, whether sipping his gas station coffee, or planning his great motorcycle riding escape each week at McDonalds. Bill knew how to captivate the crowd with a well-orchestrated golfing good time. He attracted an audience and welcomed anyone in his reach into his world; he led his life without judgment and found purpose in his ability to build relationships with everyone he met. He managed his team for decades with grace and compassion in the food brokerage industry, and was committed to raising awareness of the incredible work being done by the Shriner's Children's Hospital in Greenville, SC.
Bill was blessed with a large and loving family. In addition to his loving wife, Rita, he is survived by his children, Pamela Bolding, Scott Davis (Amy), Lesley Davis Gonzalez (Luis), and Tyler Davis (Liz); grandchildren, Jeremy Bolding (Lori), Dustin, Darren, Evie, Bailey, Waylon, Emily, and Olivia; two great grandchildren; two incredible sisters, Ann Norman (Gary) and Lynn Bailey (Bruce); and an army of nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews that loved him to the moon and back.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown, with a funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will be held following services in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Played golf with Bill many times and always enjoyed being around him even though he always beat me at golf. I know he will be missed.
