William Dale "Pete" Davis, 79, of Columbia, Ky passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Taylor County Hospital. He was born on September 21, 1945, in Adair County to the late William Haskell "Hack" and Lucy Marie Hovious Davis.

Mr. Davis attended the Sparksville Baptist Church and was an avid Louisville Cardinal sports and Chicago Cubs fan. He also enjoyed playing sports, throwing horseshoes, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Mary Childers Davis of Columbia, KY; two children Amanda Page (Dusty) of Columbia, KY and Richard Davis (Gina) of Louisville, KY; two grandchildren Shauna Nunn and Sara Davis; three step grandchildren Lauren Barnett (Josh), Bryce Curley (Laighla), and Emily Taylor (Titus); a special great grandson Davis William Nunn and several step great grandchildren; a sister Lillian Watson of Lebanon, KY; a brother-in-law Charlie Childers of Columbia, KY; a sister-in-law Vickie Childers of Columbia, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, August 11, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Bro. Darrell Landis will be officiating.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00-8:00pm and will continue Monday morning at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
