William Chatman "Billy" Willis, 92, of Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at his residence. He was born on January 15, 1933, in Columbia, KY to the late Henry Chatman and Trevor Ellen Murrell Willis.

Mr. Willis was a member of Columbia United Methodist Church for 80 years and a farmer in Adair County. He enjoyed playing the guitar and mandolin, listening to bluegrass music, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include His wife Bessie Imogene Combest Willis of Columbia, KY; two children William Murrell Willis of Columbia, KY and Sherry Cowherd (David) of Campbellsville, KY; three grandchildren Carrie Gupton (Joe), Jessie Brockman, and Rebekah Renner (Isaac) and five great grandchildren Ella Gupton, Margaret "Maggie" Gupton, James Gupton, Theodore Brockman, and Simon Brockman.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Columbia United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 12:30-2:00pm at the Columbia United Methodist Church.

Bro. Ryan Boatwright will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Steve Young, Jimmy Combest, Todd Rogers, Mike McKinney, David Willis, and Wayne Logsdon.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
