)William Wesley DeMougin, affectionately known as Bill, passed away peacefully at his home in Milford, Ohio, on January 25, 2026, surrounded by love and the companionship of his faithful dog, Tripod. He was born on February 8, 1951, in Mariemont, Ohio, and devoted his life to his family, friends, and his passions.
Bill was immensely proud of the family he leaves behind, including his son Ryan and daughter-in-law (whom he later adopted) Heather. He cherished moments spent with his beloved granddaughters Rénie and Dreama. He is also survived by his brother Ed, sisters, Alice and Kathleen, and a vast network of friends and relatives who felt the warmth of his spirit.
As a talented woodworker and gifted mechanic, Bill transformed raw materials into works of art, showcasing his creativity and craftsmanship. Whether hiking the Appalachian Trail or crafting a new piece from wood, Bill approached life with a sense of adventure and curiosity that inspired those around him. He had a lifelong love of knowledge, tinkering and learning new skills, and explored the country on his motorcycle. To many, he earned the title of "Mr. Fix-It," always ready to lend a hand or share his expertise.
The family will honor Bill's life with a Celebration of Life service at Evans Funeral Home in Milford (741 Center Street), on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. All who knew and loved him are invited to join in remembering the joy he brought to their lives.
Bill's legacy of creativity, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
Please make any desired donations in his name to either WagsInn Dog Lodging & Rescue (3190 Cortsville Rd. South Charleston, Ohio 45368) where his faithful companion Tripod is currently being spoiled, or to the Cincinnati Nature Center where he volunteered and spent many many hours taking pictures and hiking with Tripod.
