William “Bill” Derengowski, 82, passed away on December 4, 2025. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Bill spent his later years in Muncie, Indiana, where he found comfort in a slower pace and the outdoors he loved so much. In his younger years, he was happiest riding his Harley or out hunting, surrounded by nature. He appreciated life’s simple joys and never missed a chance to retell the story of shooting his first deer—one of his favorites.
Bill’s children and grandchildren will remember his sarcastic humor and his blunt, honest way of speaking. He leaves behind his son, Jim Bochenek (Meredith); his daughter, Janice Perez (Rick); and three grandchildren; James, Christian & Janina, all of whom will hold tightly to the moments they shared.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Nora; his brothers, Frank and Bob; his sister, Carol; and his son, David Podmajerski.
Bill will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
