With his witty character, charm and beautiful blue eyes, Bill was loved by everyone he met! He was personable and hard-working, serving his country and loving his family. Bill worked for General Cable for 42 years and was a highly decorated Drill Sergeant in the US Marine Corp D–2-5 who served in the Korean War. Bill received the Bronze Star Medal with Combat V, and awards/medals for Marine Corp Good Conduct, National Defense, Korean Service, U.N. Bill met Sharon at a potluck dinner 27 years ago, they married on May 9, 1998, and they spent the past 20+ years traveling and cruising all over the world, to include a 28-day cruise to the Southern Pacific, a 14-day excursion to Ireland, and a reunion trip to Korea. Bill and Sharon, along with their Marine Corp friends, attended the First Marine Division Association Reunion every year, in multiple states, from 1997 to 2014. For his 80th birthday, Bill went skydiving! Bill will always be remembered as adventurous and brave!
Bill adored and honored Sharon every hour of every day, even in his time of illness. He treated his caregivers like family, with love and respect. Bill loved his extended family like there were his own, from Sharon's kids to the great grandchildren. We are so thankful for all the memories and love.
We know you are in Heaven, Bill, making Jesus laugh with your wonderful sense of humor. We Love You!
