William Pete "Bill" Durreman, Jr., son of William Pete Durreman, Sr. and Ruth Marie (Weiss) Durreman, was born July 24, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan and left the troubles of this world behind to enter his Heavenly home on June 16, 2025, at the age of seventy-two years.
Bill, as he was known to family and friends, made a profession of faith in Christ, early in life and lived his life accordingly. He was a longtime, active and faithful member of Harvest Tabernacle Church, where he helped out in any area he was needed. The love, support, friendship and prayers from his church family over the years, were precious to him.
On April 27, 1973, Bill was united in marriage with his forever love, Hazel Barnes. Together Bill and Hazel had shared fifty-two years of laughter and memories, while raising their two children, Rachel and William.
Bill worked as a heavy machine operator, as well as in many other areas at Copeland, for many years. When he wasn't working to provide for his family, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and family camping trips. He also loved playing games of all sorts, including board games, card games, and dice games. He was quite lucky and typically won whatever game it was. According to his family, he was also the family prankster, pulling jokes and creating laughter, wherever he went. However, time spent with his family and church family, was most important to him.
Bill is survived by his wife, Hazel; one daughter, Rachel Hampton and her husband, Randy of Lebanon, MO; two grandsons, Jeremiah Hampton and Randy A. Hampton and his wife Amy; two great-granddaughters, Abriella and Everleigh Hampton; three siblings, Marie Durreman, Linda Durreman and Carl Durreman, Sr. and his wife Beth, all of Lebanon, MO; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives; church family; and countless friends.
Those preceding him in death include his parents and one son, William Antion Durreman.
Bill was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
There is no service planned at this time for Bill.
At his request, his body is to be cremated under direction of Shadel's Colonial Chapel.

I have many great memories of cousin Bill from the 1960s and early 1970s. While we were the same age, both born in 1952, I grew up mostly in Idaho and we only visited Missouri on occasional summer road trips. That all changed in 1969 when my mom, Bill's Aunt, moved us four kids to Missouri and I got to know Bill better - we were both seniors in the LHS class of 1970. He helped me get a job at Strickland's Supermarket bagging groceries. Our Grandfather, Pete Durreman, and Bill's father, William Durreman Sr., took us all on many adventures in the Missouri Ozarks. That was a great year in Missouri and I still have many fond memories. May you rest in peace Bill, and our warmest regards to your family.
