Hazel Marie Durreman, daughter of Lafe and Luella (Wasmer) Barnes, was born June 29, 1953, in Stoutland, Missouri and left the troubles of this world behind to enter his Heavenly home on September 24, 2025, at the age of seventy-two years.

Hazel made a profession of faith in Christ, early in life and lived her life accordingly. She was a longtime, active and faithful member of Harvest Tabernacle Church, where she helped out in any area she was needed. The love, support, friendship and prayers from her church family over the years, were precious to her.

On April 27, 1973, Hazel was united in marriage with her forever love, William "Bill" Pete Durreman . Together they had shared fifty-two years of laughter and memories, while raising their two children, Rachel and William, until Bill's passing on June 16, 2025.

Hazel was know for her welcoming and caring nature. She was always there when needed and often referred to as the glue that held her family together. She enjoyed many things in life like fishing with Bill, going on outings to yard sales and bin stores with the family and keeping up with her church family. However time spent and memories made with her children and grandchildren are what she cherished most.

She is survived by one daughter, Rachel Hampton and her husband Randy, of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Hampton and Randy Hampton and his wife Amy; two great-grandchildren, Abriella Hampton and Everleigh Hampton, all of Lebanon, Missouri; several brothers and sisters other relatives and many dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Pete Durreman; one son, William Antion Durreman; several brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Hazel was the best wife. She was an awesome mother and caring grandmother. She was such a blessing to those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. She will be greatly missed until the promise of Heaven allows us to all be together again.

At this time there are no services planned for Hazel, per her wishes her body is to be cremated under direction of Shadel's Colonial Chapel.
