William R. Eldridge passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023, at the age of 75. He was born on July 26, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Charles and Eleanor Eldridge.
Bill graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1966. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1970 and Wayne State Law School in 1974.
In addition to being a proud Wolverine, Bill was a successful businessman, owning several cemeteries and real estate businesses throughout the Detroit area. Bill leaves behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
A passionate sports fan, Bill loved cheering on his Wolverines, Red Wings, Tigers, and Lions. Bill was a dog lover, an avid reader, water skier, softball player and boater. What he loved most was traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Bill, preceded in death by his son, William Eldridge, Jr., is survived by his children, Christopher (Cintya) Eldridge, Elizabeth (David) Weber, Dr. Charles (Whitney) Eldridge, and Richard Eldridge; his grandchildren, Garrett, Brayden, Lilly, Claire, Anabel, Emmett, Blake, Charlie, and Sawyer; his siblings, Dr. Charles (Sandra) Eldridge and Loyal (Bonnie) Eldridge, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, December 9th; Instate 9:30am until the time of Mass, 10:00am, at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, 157 Lake Shore Rd. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Detroit.
