William worked as the Manager of Manpower for Greyhound Bus Lines for 30 years before retiring and pursuing various other interests. William kept his family busy relocating every few years for work and the whole family enjoyed camping and boating whenever the opportunity arose.

Bill and I go back to the 1950's or Junior High Days in Oak Ridge, where we were close friend sharing Boy Scouts, Football, Church Camps, Choir, and so many great memories. My sister, Mary Carolyn and Jane, Bill's sister, were also very good friends. From time to time, Bill would cook his famous Sloppy Joe recipe for us and we would yum it up.

Bill and I spent a lot of time frog hunting, exploring caves close by OR, looking for arrowheads, and pieces of pottery and more. We managed to come up with some interesting things digging along The Clinch River, more than an average kid or adult would expect to find.

After High School, Bill and I would see each other from time to time and later when Bill moved back to his parents house on New York Avenue, I would drop by to see he and Ann.

In April this year when I was in OR, my younger sister, Marquita and her husband, Lynn had Mary Carolyn , Bill and I over to their house for a day of reminiscing those past memories. A lot of fun.

Bill, thanks for a lot of Great Memories, I consider you a true friend, and
I will see you in Heaven. RIP buddy. John
