ADDISON-
William R. Faraci (Bill) 69, died unexpectedly September 25, 2024, at Eastern Maine Northern Light in Bangor. Bill was born September 7, 1955, at Holloman AFB in Alamogordo, New Mexico, the son of Robert A. and Jean M. (Spartichino) Faraci.
Bill developed his love of all things motorcycle and small engines in the Philippines where he spent most of his teenaged years. While in the Philippines, he taught his tutor how to work on motorcycles. In the 1980s, upon returning to the U.S, Bill became the favorite motorcycle mechanic for the Orange County California Highway Patrol. After moving to Maine in the 90's, Bill worked for R.H. He began to build miniature fiberglass RC lobster boats based on the full-scale boats he built; this became his favorite hobby. Bill built several mini boats, 2 of which were raffled off for local community benefits. He also built what he called, "the world's smallest RC lobster boat." He named that boat "JAK" after his then 3 granddaughters, Jalyn, Alyssa, and Katie, (Alex came along later). He spent much of his time caring for his family home, which was managed as a rental and Airbnb, while also finishing his own home. Bill served several years on the Addison Fire Department as a Firefighter II. He was a member of the Pleasant River Fish and Game in Columbia. Bill was always ready to help someone in need. He will be missed by his family, friends, and beloved kitties especially Sebago and Sailor.
Bill is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Liz" (Taylor) Faraci; son Robert D. Faraci and fiancé' Heather Rickels; stepdaughter, Suzanne Lee and husband Robert all of Addison; stepson Paul D. Stevens and wife Jill of Jonesport; 3 sisters Gail Foltz of Mollala, OR., Roberta Bodkin and husband Scott of Trabuco, CA., Michele Horwich and husband Jeff of Lake Forest, CA.; grandchildren Alyssa McCallum and husband Lekena of Hansom AFB, MA., Kathlyn Lee of Addison, Jalyn Stevens and Alexander Stevens both of Jonesport; nephew, David Horwich of S. Liz and I are good friends, we did a lot of traveling and Bill was always there to drop us off, pick us up, help pack and unpack the car. He was very kind to me and my husband even when he didn´t feel well a lot of the time. Even when he was in the hospital as a patient he was not a complainer. He just wanted Liz to be as proud of him as he was of her. Rest In Peace Bill
