Farwig, William P. Muskegon William Peter Farwig, age 72, died Thursday August 25, 2022, in Muskegon, Michigan. Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deborah (Beane) Farwig, his three sons, William S. Farwig (Dana Gerstenschlager), Robert M. Farwig (Thomas Aragona) and Steven B. Farwig, six grandchildren, Kirk Griswold (Sara LaFever), Devin Farwig, Kristi Farwig (Tone Lewis), Josie Giddings (Justin Giddings), Blake Farwig, Jonah Farwig-Gerstenschlager, and two great grandchildren, Kai Griswold and La'Mir Lewis. Bill is also survived by his three siblings, Pamela Jordan, Gary Farwig (Sharron Farwig) and Merri Joy Luke (Robert Luke), and mother-in-law, Zelda Beane and sisters-in-law Barb Hoeker (Michael Hoeker) Pam Beane (Graham Weeks) Bill is predeceased by his parents William E. Farwig (2014) and Helen V. Farwig (2015) and father-in-law, Robert Beane (2015). Bill was born on August 17, 1950. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a graduate of Ferris State University, he worked as an accountant for Thill Oil Company in Muskegon and Challenge Machinery in Grand Haven. Bill became a real estate appraiser for Farwig Appraisal Services and spent the last two decades of his career alongside his brother, Gary. Bill's biggest life passions second only to his high school sweetheart then wife of 51 years were family, food, golfing, and lake life. Bill was a member of Lincoln Golf Club, Eagle Island and Chase Hammond, and his claim to fame was a "hole-in-one" at Stonegate Golf Club in 2008. Bill will always be remembered as the 'life of the party' and the person you'd always want on your invitation list, no matter the occasion. Bill believed in never wasting an opportunity to enjoy life and have the best time possible. Ever. And yet, Bill was also known for being an amazing husband, father and grandfather, all while modeling how incredibly thoughtful, open-minded, generous, responsible and dependable he was to everyone he met. Bill has requested that there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
