William R. "Reggie" Folsom-Welch

William R. Folsom-Welch "Reggie" age 54, of Americus, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M Sunday, October 12, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Americus. The family will receive friends following the service. There will be a private interment to follow in Ellaville City Cemetery. Rev. Keith Parks will officiate the services.
Reggie was born August 27, 1971, in Americus. He was the son of the late William Ronald Folsom Sr., Marshall C. Welch, and is survived by his mother Susan Parker Welch. He graduated from Southland Academy in 1990. He was an avid golfer, loving son, brother, uncle, and a forever Georgia Bulldog Fan. He was a PGA assistant Pro-Golfer, and managed Golf Courses. He also worked at Brickyard Plantation Golf Course, Georgia Veterans Golf Course, Stonebridge Golf Course and the former Wolf Creek Golf Course. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Americus.
In addition to his mother; Susan Parker Welch, he is survived by a sister; Lynsey Welch Williams, aunts and uncles; Jewel Eason Parker of Americus, Ann Kirby Parker of Leesburg, Patti Parker Johnson (Ricky) of Fair Hope, AL, Fran Williams Parker of Cobb, Melba Welch Wood (Jack) of Cordele. He is also survived by two nephews Daniel Marshall Williams and James Preston Williams, and numerous cousins; Suzette Burnam Grantham of Byromville, GA, Pam Burnam Crutchfield of Vienna, GA, Sherry Burnam Bragg of Byromville, GA, Sheryl Burnam of Byromville, GA, Jack Wood, Jr., of Cordele, GA, Dan Parker of Cobb, GA, Travis Parker (Mitzi) of Americus, James Jordan "Jimmy" of Albany, GA, Ivy Johnson Armstrong of Daphne, AL, Dakota Johnson of Fairhope, AL, Jordan Parker of Americus, Arthur Murray of Byromville, GA, Janet Mock (Hiram) of Leesburg, GA and Steve Jordan of Leesburg, GA.
In addition to his fathers, Reggie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Jackie and Clarence Parker, his fraternal grandparents and his grandmother, Mattie Burnam Welch, uncles; Clarence Allen Parker Jr, and Mack Jordan Parker, and cousins; Jaclyn Wood, and Lynn Burnam Murray.
The family asks memorials be made out to Southland Academy Big Marsh 5k and Fun Run Scholarship and to First Baptist Church of Americus.
