William Gregory Forgy II was born March 31, 1944, and passed away peacefully November 2, 2024.
He was a 1962 graduate of Bonham High School and joined the United States Air Force that same year. He was in the medics area of service and that began his interest in health care. He moved to Marin County, California in 1966 and was purchasing agent for Ross General Hospital. While in California he attended San Francisco Art Institute to study photography and when he returned to Texas in 1971, he was employed for a few years at Laughead Photographers in Dallas. He moved back to California in 1974 and attended the College of Marin, then came back to Texas for good in 1975. In 1980 he began a long term of employment at the former Medical Plaza Hospital in Sherman. He retired from Wilson N. Jones Hospital in 2001. These past years, he enjoyed grilling, listening to rock & roll, watching Arkansas Razorback sports, and eating at Randy's BBQ and Marco's Tex-Mex. He attended St. Luke's Episcopal Church and was grateful for all of his church family.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Gregory Forgy and mother, Velma Rae Forgy. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Gibbie Forgy, sister, Cynthia Gudgel, niece, Jan Allgood and sister-in-law Barbara Henneke (Tony).
Services will be at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 427 W. Woodard, Denison, TX 75020 Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 1:00 pm, followed by a reception in the church hall.
