Funeral Services for Mr. William Freeman, 82, of the Chalk Hill Community, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Lakeview Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Newton officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home at Chalk Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.
Mr. Freeman passed away on October 8, 2025, in Longview. He was born May 19, 1943, in Henderson, Texas to James C. and Mattie Elmina (Pool) Freeman. Mr. Freeman was a retired printer in Fort Worth. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Mr. Freeman served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Freeman was preceded in death by his parents, James C. and Mattie Pool Freeman; brothers, Earl Freeman, J. C. Freeman Jr.; sisters, Betty Jo Hippler, Wanda Kelley, Kay Holt; and Margaret Ann Freeman.
Survivors include his son, Allen Scott Freeman; siblings, Paul Freeman and wife Linda of Chalk Hill, Robert Freeman and wife Reba of Chalk Hill, Dianne Baker of White Oak, Fay Scarborough of Chalk Hill; grandchild, Trista Freeman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Chris Sanders, Ayden Sanders, Taylor Russ, Darren Freeman, Beau Griffin, and Noah Burson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Lakeview Baptist Church at 10522 FM RD 2011, Longview, Texas 75603.
