William F. Gallagher, of Elmhurst, IL, passed away on February 19, 2025. Bill was born November 3, 1944, in Evergreen Park, IL, the son of William J. Gallagher and Rita M. Gallagher (nee La Bine) of Chicago. Bill graduated from Bogan High School in 1962. Bill served in the reserves of the Army National Guard of Illinois from 1965 to 1970. Bill married Patricia Gunstead on August 26, 1967, at the Church of St. George in Tinley, Park IL. Patricia preceded Bill in death in 2007.Bill worked for Coca-Cola as a Route Salesman for 23 years and moved into management as a Key Account Executive until his retirement. Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Bill loved his entire extended family as well as his Coca-Cola, Minocqua, and St. Germain, Wisconsin families.Remaining to cherish Bills memory are children Bill (Kris) Gallagher, Kathy (Dan) Weber, Renee (Tim) Dizillo, and Randy (Aksana) Gallagher; grandchildren Jack and Erin Gallagher; Ryan, Caden, and Jacqueline Weber; and Luke, Ben, Lauren, and Adam Dizillo; sister-in-law Linda Loparco; cousins Patty Kay Ruddy (Joe Michalec) and Jim Ruddy; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family; and helpful neighbors. Visitation will be held March 1, 2025, from 3-6 PM at Pedersen Ryberg Funeral home at 435 N York St., Elmhurst, IL, 60126.
